About Peter Robinson

Robinson 033
Locally-based surveyor

With over 23 years of experience as a Chartered Surveyor in the South East of England, our director, Peter Robinson, has accumulated a vast store of knowledge about local buildings and their possible defects.

He started his professional life with a large firm of building surveyors in South London, working on high-profile buildings such as the Royal Academy of Arts, Heathrow Airport and Buckingham Palace.

In 2007, he established Robinson Elliott Surveyors Ltd. which allows him to fulfil his principal interest – surveying residential properties for private buyers and owners.

With Peter Robinson and his team, you can be confident you’ll receive an outstanding professional, yet personal, surveying service, which will leave you fully informed about the property you plan to buy in Sussex, Surrey, South London or Kent.

The south coast, with its resorts of Brighton and Eastbourne, is less than an hour away from our base near East Grinstead – and Croydon even closer in the opposite direction. Tunbridge Wells is to the east with Crawley and Guildford to the west.

Invaluable local knowledge

At Robinson Elliott Surveyors, our reputation has spread far and wide. We have been commissioned to carry out surveys right across Sussex, Surrey, South London and Kent. Word-of-mouth referrals see us make repeat visits to the same areas, ensuring detailed experience-based knowledge, sympathetic to local conditions.

Every area has its own characteristics, with preferred building materials, construction methods, property styles and range of prices, both rural and urban. Sussex, Surrey, South London and Kent are no exception.

At Robinson Elliott Surveyors, detailed local knowledge is a particular strength, whether surveying an oast house in Kent, a beachfront villa on the Sussex coast, an end-of-terrace in South London or a gated mansion in the stockbroker belt of Surrey.

Meet your surveyor!

When contacting us, please ask about meeting the surveyor towards the end of the inspection. This can be useful, to obtain a synopsis of the state of the property you are buying on the day of the survey, before we post or email you the report. It also gives you the chance to ask us any questions and to discuss any proposals you may have for extensions or alterations.
